I took this photo recently on a visit to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. I find the faded richness in the colors and the sophistication in the simplicity of this bedroom in a Hacienda in San Sebastian to be really beautiful. The hacienda sits on what used to be a major silver mine in Mexico. The beauty is still there, the faux finishing on the walls was exquisitely done and if you look closely at the fabrics they are beautiful. We befriended San Sebastian’s town mascot (which was a very sweet little dog). He walked us all through town until we left. I have to post these recycling bins in San Sebastian—I was very impressed by Mexico’s recycling efforts.
And lastly, the woman in this photo looks eerily like my mother—but different….Where does time take us?
